Ep3's start at 9065 I believe and go to appx 9450 for the first revision. I have 3 units EP2 last revision (tube model green box), Maestro EP3 serial 9888 2nd revision and Maestro EP3 #2 serial #20,162 3rd revision. I can't find any serial number / year guides online, but I know they varied slightly in manufacture and componentry depending on when they were made. The EP-3 and the EP-4 from early 1977 had a compressor board. The EP-3 and EP-4 were both offered for sale from 1977 onwards. The EP-4 had a wider 'Maestro Echoplex' badge which continued from early 1977 until 1979 and then the EP-4 badge was changed to a small 'Echoplex' badge which continued from 1979. Anyways, all of my 'plex's have been awesome sounding so I don't sweat the details. I've seen EP-2 Tube Echoplex's in the serial #8000 range so. I have a redface Echoplex EP-3 that's in the #9000s which I'm pretty sure is very early for the EP-3's. I've bought 3 EP-3's all less than the serial # 13000.
